Cataloging, Collection Development, and ILL
What is CatExpress?
For our new catalogers, I wanted to write a little explanation here. CatExpress is a copy-cataloging program created by OCLC. If you cannot find a bibliographic record in VERSO, you can check CatExpress for a record. This is a service we pay for, and all our members are welcome to use it! During Tech Day, we will offer a class to show you how to use this cataloging option. For more information, please visit the SWKLS Wiki. / Link
If you have not already done so, please respond to me email from 9/13 in which I inquired about updating each library’s information in CatExpress.

Welcome Rhonda Sieck as Scott City New Director
SWKLS would like to welcome Rhonda to the system. Thank you Rhonda for sending in little a introduction so we can get to know you a little better. We are so happy to have you on board.
Rhonda Sieck
My spouse is Tony Sieck and we have been married 28 years. In my lifetime I have owned a shoe store and was Liberian for our grade school and middle school for several years. I then worked nine years in the newspaper business. I am so proud of my old boss. She has written a book which I will host a book signing for in November of this year.
I have two boys Patrick, who lives in Wichita and he has two boys Carson (21) and Jackson (13). Andrew and his wife Amanda live in Goodland. They have three children, Brooke (20), Blake (18) and Cameron (9 mos).
I moved from Goodland to Scott City about 15 years ago. While in Goodland I was the Director of Actives as well as Resident advisor in our retirement home/center. Since moving down to Scott City I have worked for an attorney for 13 years. I then went back into the medical field and worked for a chiropractor before leaving to become Director of the library.
We have 2 fur babies. Both are brindle Whippets, Dakota and Bella.
I so enjoy our small community and have been involved in many activities. My favorite is volunteering at my church. I enjoy quilting, reading books ( I belong to several book clubs) and working in my flower beds, but most of all my grandchildren. I also enjoy fishing, boating and hiking with my older grandchildren. I am looking forward to the youngest one getting older so I might do these things with him.
